The same reign coat

Rain Coat

I took a walk on a rainy dune trail while camping where my family used to vacation.

I wore my dad’s rain coat and thought about how 40 years ago he could have explored the wilderness just like I was. He might have thought about what lies ahead or just been present in the moment, feeling connected through nature.

A lot has happened since then, and now it looks like it’s my turn. This connection to the world around me is making me feel more alive than ever. I can feel the energy in the air as the stormy waves crash on the empty beach soaked with rain, yet I don’t feel alone.

I lost him. But I might be finding myself.
